I’d like to thank Dan, Mike, and Eric at Competition Engineering. I just won Super Modified at the Bugorama. Without their help and guidance, it never would have happened. There were times I’d show up at CE just to vent my frustration after a disappointing night at the drags and Mike would help me keeps things in prospective. They guided me through the build process and stood behind the parts they sold to me. Thanks to their integrity and encouragement, my kids got to see their dad win the big race.  You cannot put a price on these types of memories. Thanks guys!

I just want you and your customers to know what a great job you did for me! I can remember as a high school kid you guys putting up with me hanging around your shop just so I could watch how the "pros" worked on VW's. What you didn't know is that my dad wasn't around to show me anything about cars. You really don't know how much that meant to me. Since then, I was finally able to afford a car with A/C in it and wandered away from VW's. Well...16 years have passed and I have since gotten married and had a little boy. I wanted something that I could take my family out to have fun and enjoy the outdoors in. I found a sandrail with a VW engine in it. Knowing that I had Competition Engineering to rely on for mechanical help I bought it without hesitation.

I took my sandrail in and CE checked it all out to make sure it was safe enough to take my family out in. I can't even begin to tell you how excited my three year old son was to get out in it! It's all he could talk about. I got the sandrail back from CE and it started acting up on me like VW's sometimes do. I called Dan Friday (kind of in a panic knowing how much I was about to disappoint my son) and it was Dan's idea to meet me on his day off to help me get my sandrail back in working order. Dan calls me up Saturday morning one hour before we were scheduled to take out the sandrail. We met up near my house and fifteen minutes later it was back in action! That day we drove all the way to the top of Four Peaks and back without a hitch!

As a business owner, I've not only learned a lot about VW's from Competition Engineering, I've also learned about excellent customer service. Thanks!

When I found my 71 Westy several years ago, I immediately took it to CE for a tune-up and to check everything over... Since then, I have driven that same bus, my daily driver and roadtrip rig, over 40,000 miles on all kinds of terrain and conditions, from Death Valley to the Rocky Mountains, all with hardly a hiccup. I spent nearly four months last summer driving all over the country, over 10,000 miles. No problem... To say that Dan Lawson and the crew at Competition Engineering are great with VWs is a serious understatement. They do excellent work with a fast turnaround, and a fair price. I highly recommend CE to all my friends, no matter what kind of car they drive.
